iDJPool is a US based all digital pool that started as a vinyl pool back in the 80's. It keeps the old school vinyl tradition, although it now services ONLY digital mp3's. Back in the day, when you were in a Vinyl Pool, you would take the entire stack of records in your bin and take it home and listen to it. iDJPool services its DJ's via FTP (en.wikipedia.org) allowing/making a DJ take everything (No Previews). You use a FTP client (provided by the Pool), login and click and download your files. No reviews or ratings are required to get your music, but the Pool director does appreicate a monthly Top 25 and Feedback (not required). iDJPool services professional DJ's worldwide offering 3 tiers of service, Urban, Dance, and VIP.
The Urban Package ($30) offers almost everything a Urban Club DJ needs with most of the releases being offered in Dirty, Radio/Clean, Instrumental, and some Accapellas. iDJPool prides itself in getting the official releases direct from the labels in high quality format (all 320 MP3). You may not get a leak fast and first that was unofficially released this week, but when it does come, it comes correct. The pool also does offer some cuts that have hit potential with DJ Intro and DJ Outro edits in addition to the versions mentioned above.
The Dance Package ($30) gives the Club DJ a ridiculous amount of Club Dance music, probably more than any other pool, again in 320 MP3 format. The Dance leans towards the commercial major label releases but also includes some releases from the Deep House end to the Hipster Electro style. Multiple mixes and remixes are usually included.
The VIP Package ($50) includes the Dance and Urban Packages above, but also adds Rock, Country, Mash Ups, plus more. VIP membership also includes special "perks" for loyal members that have been in the pool for a while. A new 2010 pool update may include Previews and download via Web Browser and FTP access via Mobile Devices (like iPhone) to get latest music on the fly. Also the Pool is adding a choice of multiple Servers for members that had/have speed issues.
